There are lots of texture packs available, minecraft forum may be a good source, also googling minecraft high resolution texture pack, will take you the awesomeness of HD in minecraft upto 256x256 pixels per cube (instead of the 16x16), but you need to patch the client, its safe I guess.

I use the default...

i use the painterly texture pack it has a huge amount of customisation options and stuff so i'd suggest to go to painterlypack.net/
