Well, according to notch, the update will rollout officialy today

"We just uploaded Minecraft 1.8, but minecraft.net isn't up right now because of web ops stuff"

But the damned site has its ups and downs, so expect delays with the update, later tonight I will see what comes out of bukkit.

so, hopefully the twk servers will be updated tonight?

I mean, I wanna try the new stuff out but SSP is not the same once you tried SMP
