My pro gaming career has been destroyed, i can't get on css...
EVERY time i try to launch the game i get an hl2 error and it say something about shaderpix9 or some crap.
Tried deleting all css files (including maps, models etc...) and re-installing it.
Tried updating graphics drivers and that didn't work.
Same error everytime, but the actual hl2 games launches and plays with no issues.

I'm somewhat at a loss, my basic computer problem solving skills have all been put to use but to no avail. If any1 has any suggestions then they would be much appreciated, tbh i think my pc is just slowly dying one function at a time

If not, it will be a few weeks before i'm back to kill you all (in the nicest possible way of course) with a shiny new pc

Seems to be a problem with the DirectX, have you tried updating it?

Also, update your Audio drivers. If you have an audiocard integrated on your motherboard, just go the the manufacturers site and find your motherboard in the download section.

you can always try backing up and then deleting the cstrike folder.. If there are corrupt configs or something in there it might start working again.

Once again thanks to every1 but mainly thanks to slab....you 'da man' as they say and i own you one. Anytime you need any engineering issues fixed or any1 killed you know where to call



PS. tried that greenie, cheers...was about 6gb of crap, took about 10mins to delete all the files
