Hello,

so my friend and i have a webhosting company going on: vizid.eu (sorry english not implemented yet)

And since i know lots of ppl have expirience with this stuff i was looking for advice for a backup plan.

Since we are just starting up, it has to be cheap.

Right now we are doing backup of the whole thing EVERY time, but soon should have script for incremental backup

Backup will be happening thru ftp (server is linux)

rsync and/or tar

RTFM first, ask doubts later.

You should really get a seperate server dedicated to backups, much more safer, reliable and proffesional.

Also I would check what laws are applicable to you in your server(s) countries on what data you can store and how you can store it bla bla bla.

Well, I have a backup server in case the main goes off, I have a simple way to duplicate all db's and the stuff runnin here, but I don't do backups there, it's only a mirror server.

Real backups I do them to my servers at home, they have huge disks and I have plenty of bandwidth, so, for me, is the best option.

And breath IN money, not out
