No, the question is; WHY THE HELL would you wanna do that?

Try this, it might work:

www.mediaconverter.org/" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

ADMIN on the Minecraft server.

What song? I'm not convinced audio to midi on anything complicated will work tbh.
Please excuse my posts .. I try, often unwisely, to write in E-Prime :S

This is one of those things....

mp3 is streamed audio sound wave, mid is a digital music composing format. music in mids doesn't has soundwaves but they playing not, tempos and other note properties, mids use the computer or playing program sound table and instruments to play the song, as a mid does not contain sound data.

So converting mp3 to mids, will allways give a shitload of crappy sound, as some program must "listen" to the music and try to make pattern out of it.. crap.

Also, most phones support mp3 so why on earth do you want that?!

They do it manually - there are companies set up to do just that - a whole industry creates and makes midi arrangements, mainly for backing tracks - with a midi file you can alter individual instrument volume, intsrument sounds and speed, remove notes, add your own, etc.

I'll have a look - I might be able to convert it for you.

midi file format is VERY old, like ds said, a midi file just has note arrangements and instruments can be changed.

Why they do it? if you wanted in old times to transfer a song, would transfer a whole 10 minute walse in a tiny 50 ou 100k file, instead of an 20mb mp3 high quality (this number just came to mind, no calcs done, just for example), so, for mobile phones, in the starting polyphonic ringtone era, the phone has a fixed sound bank, the midi just plays the sound bank as notes.

And for some people I know, making a music and saving in midi, takes 1 to 2 hours playing a piano and jolting in some beats and stuff.. its quite easy if you know music.

And I also use my phone till they die... but my old nokia 6230 already supports mp3 as ringtone. next time, buy european stuff and not those american bricks.
