i got a demo of a css hacker and i want to play the video 'NOT' ingame. but the problem is the damn .dem file. i dunno how i can play it and i want to post that in the forum. imageshack doesnt work, it says that it is an invalid filetype.
so, 1. how can i play that video?
2. how can i post the video in the forum

The best way to post it in the forum is to compress it in a .zip or winrar, then upload it to a file sharing thing like rapidshare, then post that link on here.

As for watching the demo out of game, I got no clue, I'm not entirley sure you can, maybe have a look around some file converters or google a CSS demo player

you have to play the video ingame, usually the .dem is associated with CS:S so mostly a doble click will do the job of opening and playing ingame.

The dem file is not a video, its a script that uses the CS:S engine to render that script.

or the command playdemo file.dem at the CS:S console.

To make a video out of a dem file, load the dem, and record with fraps.

If you want to post the video you need to use one of the sites that allow you to upload things like imageshack, mediafire etc

Well if you want us to see the video, simply upload the .dem file in a .zip or .rar or whatever, then we'll just stick it on out cstrike folder and watch it in-game. Done deal
