I was looking on PC Specialist, and started messing about with some of their gaming PC options and customising and shit, and was wondering (from the more hardware-savvy people) how this setup sounds, and its relation to its cost

One way to lower the price but still keep the power of it is to take a AMD processor of equal power instead. AMD are always cheaper than Intel when comparing power you get for the money you pay.

Well I'm more comfortable with a Intel processor and kinda happy with the price really (from my knowledge of PC's), but always good to get a second opinion
And don't know if I checked the prices of the AMD processors, so dunno the price difference anyway

From what I have been told, AMD processors are slightly worse that the intel ones and are more likely to overheat etc

Well I don't think I'd have an AMD one anyway. I'm happy with my processor, RAM and Graphics Card choices, mainly the other stuff

Okay, so I updated my specs, and I made an extremely good PC setup, still at a relatively low price (considering the fact the price also includes 2 22" screens, and a pretty good 2.1 speaker system (and it also includes labour and delivery)). Hopefully I can eventually get it

Here's the specs:

Basically because it's too expensive and apparently the on-board sound card that PCS have is very good anyway, so I'm just sticking with that. That also supports 5.1, and if I get enough money in the future, I'll buy a 5.1 speaker system. I'll mostly be using the speakers for music anyway (a load of bass for my dubstep) and I'll be using my headset for games.

I changed the spec a bit more, and here's the new one:

Not a huge change, but it knocked a bit of the price, and I have a better power supply, just in-case I want to add more to it in the future, and ends up requiring more power.
