Those "some people" is a lot of people.
I mean, e.g, it is so horrible how people is treated in the Middle East, forced marriages on 9 years old girl (were the husband is like 30). And a new rule in Afganistan: Women can't walk outside without having her husband next to her. AND the women can NOT say NO to sex! Men can in theory rape their wifes. Burqa? Yeah, in this 40 degree celcius country, lets cover up our women with a huge sheet and some netting they can barely see trough.

You can choose a lot of different passages in the bible, pick and choose from e.g this:

"Its ok to sell your daughter into slavery."
"Anyone working on the sabbath should be put to death."
"Thus not even the nature itself teach you that if a man have long hair, it is a shame onto him" (Jesus does have long hair...)
"Another crazy chapter in the bible say that disobedience children shall be stoned to death."

If someone really want to pray to some God, pray to the sun. Sun gave us life and it's still giving us life and confort.

I just put in my words of wisdom here. The sentence that explains it all.

"Faith brings us together, religion tears us apart"

Common beliefs is what brings people to talk and live together but when ideas are forced on us we tend to say STOP! Then the person who was trying to convince you say; but our god is better than yours, embrace him (cause its always a him). Religion is like power, it corrupts all minds. It will exist as long as there are people who dont think and accept stuff blindly. It will have followers as long as people wants to be lead thru there life by the hand. Please dont mixup faith with religion!

And a more personal note, if the bible is true then Lord of the rings is true. Imo the bible and all religous texts are the worlds first law books with inbeded stories to tell att night when there was nothing else to do. All religions are born from the same sentences; "What is the meaning of our existence?", "What created this world?" Religion is the same as science, both try to solve the same thing but from diffrent approaches. Both are fighting over theories cause none has proved its theory beyond doubt.

And they have some flaws, we celebrate christmas on the 24-25th of december because the pagan religions already did that. We celebrate easter at that certain time for the same reason. God is a man with beard in most pictures cause thats how Zeus was pictured. Its all so the transfer to the new religion would go smooth and with as little complains and break in traditions as possible!

Yeah, the egyptians did so. Also, the bible is a simple ripp-off from their religion.

The Bible was already full of blood, guts, horror, heroics, battles, action, humour, mysticism, spiritualism, inspiritation and enlightenment.

It's just that many of today's youth are too lazy and incompetent to bother to read it.

That said, if "The Manga Bible" inspires others to widen their knowledge, curiosity and understanding of the Bible, how can any true Christian object to it?

Bring on the Manga Koran!!!
