My son and I loved the video - very impressive That's one of the things I like about Minecraft - the open-ended, what else is possible nature.

I've not had a lot of time to check out the update as was out last night and been at football today (my son, not me - I was too hung over).

I'm assuming to get the biomes you need to start a new world or does it 'update' any existing maps?

I'll try the portal later if I can find some of the right materials.

I'm liking the new colour of the grass and trees although leaves no longer dissapear when you cut a tree which is a tad annoying .. hopefully fixed soon ... not that I get much of a look in with my son taking over all the time :D

Made my first trip into hell, entered into a very small, very crappy area that held nothing but the basic 'hell dirt' so dissapointed so far. Left hell to found a new home and am going to go exploring. Marking my way in this new area by making LOTR style beacons
