All LED screens have weird contrast ratios due to the led illumination instead of el panels.

Some reviewer focus on the construction and stuff, some focus on the features, the menus.... do lcd have menus?!! I touch the menus on my lcd's once when setting up and never touch them again, even the power button

The LG W2486L is cool choice, however, I think it doesn't support 3d, anyway, less headaches

Go for it, two hdmi ports let you connect more stuff (consoles and set-top boxes).

And its not to pricey either.

lol good stuff - I'm not too bothered about 3D anyway - I just think it's a bit of a gimmick tbh. Think I'll get this monitor ordered tonight then

remember u had your monitor for 5 years now.
If u are going for "investment" id buy 3d
If nothing else those monitors have REAL 120hz refreshrate
As i read u can really feel the difference in fluidity between 60hz and 120hz

too late now anyway - monitors getting delivered today I never even noticed it had 120Hz!
